EKD Scholar Dollars
Emma K. Doub has implemented a school wide positive behavior plan in which students are given "Scholar Dollars" for showing character and being responsible. Scholar Dollars are redeemable for books and prizes at the Emma K. Doub School Store. Any teacher, lunch assistant, bus driver, or administer can give Scholar Dollars to students. The dollars will be kept in the classroom until the student has earned enough to buy an item from Mr. Funkhouser at the EKD School Store, a book from Mrs. Anders at the Book Rack!
What Do the Colors in My Student's Planner Mean?
Students will begin everyday on Green, based on his/her choices during the day, a student may move either up or down the color scale. Any teacher or administrator in the building can move any student up or down based on behavior. Encore teachers (media, art, physical education, and music) also move students depending on behavior. All colors will be recorded in the student planner, if your student comes home on a yellow or red, please discuss the behavior that caused the color change.
